For class, you should have completed chapters 1-4.  Today we will take an in-depth look at the introduction to the novel and go over the Research Presentations from class.  There were quite a few misrepresentations that I will clarify.

For Of Mice and Men – Choose one of the following prompts to write about:

  • What are the conflicts in the novel?  What types of conflict (physical, moral, intellectual, or emotional) are illustrated in the novel?

Welcome back!

I hope you have had a fantastic break and are well rested for a new semester!

ENG 9:This week

As you know, I have not been in school this week. If you are absent, please check our blog and PantherNET for updates and class materials. You will receive your mini commentaries back when I return. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you discussed the Short Story Outcomes and Literary Termsfor the unit.  For homework, you were asked to read “A Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe.  On Thursday and Friday, we will look at “A Tell-Tale Heart” on a plot diagram, explore the vocabulary and answer questions in groups.  For homework: please read “Poison” by Roald Dahl.  Have a great weekend.  Your Mini Commentaries will be handed back next week.  Grades are on PowerSchool 🙂
